Certainly not—all services are provided without regard to age, background or faith.
When I make a donation to Catholic Charities of Northern Nevada where does the money go?
All donations stay right here in northern Nevada and support one of the eight human service programs operated by Catholic Community Services of Northern Nevada, including St. Vincent’s Dining Room, St. Vincent’s Food Pantry, Emergency Assistance, St. Vincent’s Residence, St. Vincent’s Thrift Shop, Immigration Assistance, Adoptions, and Holy Child Day Home.
How do I know my donation is actually going toward direct services?
Established in 1941, CCNN is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation that undergoes an annual independent audit. Recent copies of the annual report and IRS 990 tax return are public documents and are available on the homepage of this website.
How many people does CCNN help each year?
Whether it’s a hot meal, rental assistance or quality child care, together the programs of Catholic Charities of Northern Nevada provide half a million units of service in our community each year.
How old do I have to be to volunteer?
Each program has different needs, but generally the minimum age to volunteer for a St. Vincent’s Program is 16 years. Children as young as 12 may be able to volunteer with a parent or guardian present in the Food Pantry, with approval from the program manager.
