You can help the St. Vincents Programs make a difference for the

most vulnerable members of our community by donating your

Time, Talent, or Treasure.

Monetary Donations make it possible for the St. Vincents Programs to help 25,000 people each month.  A monetary donation can be made online by clicking here or mailing to P.O. Box 5099, Reno, NV 89513-5099.  A credit card donation can also be made by telephone by calling 775-322-7073, ext. 224.

Donations of Household Goods for the St. Vincents Thrift Shop and Thrift Store are greatly appreciated.  Proceeds help support other St. Vincents Programs.  Donations can be brought to the Thrift Shop loading dock, where staff will gladly assist you.  You can also request a pickup by calling 775-322-9824 or clicking here

Donations of Food help the St. Vincents Food Pantry feed 14,000 people each month.  Donations can be delivered directly to the Pantry, Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m. 3:00 p.m.  For more information, please call 775-786-5266.

Estate Planning is another way to help support the St. Vincents Programs.  When planning the legacy you wish to leave behind, please consider a charitable bequest to Catholic Community Services of Northern Nevada.  The legal title for bequests to CCSNN is: I hereby bequeath to Catholic Community Services of Northern Nevada, a corporation Sole, ________ for the work of the St. Vincents Programs. This will insure tax exemption from the Internal Revenue Service, and your gift to CCSNN will be used for your intended purposes.  Our EIN number is 88-0339754.  For further assistance, please contact the Executive Director at 775-322-7073, ext. 223 or admin@ccsnn.org.

New IRA Rollover Legislation for 2006 & 2007 Please check with your tax preparer about the possibility of making a donation from your IRA to a charitable organization without tax consequences.

Endowment Gifts are invested and never spent.  Only the interest and dividend income from the original gift is withdrawn to fund projects and programs.  In this way, your generous donation continues to help those in need for years to come.  A donation to the Endowment Fund can be made just like any other donation; simply specify For the CCSNN Endowment at the time of donation.

Donate an Insurance Policy by naming CCSNN as owner and beneficiary.  Please discuss this idea with your spouse and your tax advisor regarding tax advantages, then discuss with your insurance advisor.

Donating Stock can be an excellent option for those facing long term capital gains due to significant stock appreciation.  A charitable gift of stock allows you to claim the full current value of the stock as a deduction on your income tax and avoid long term capital gains tax.  For more information, please contact Dave Carrothers, Finance Manager, at 775-322-7073, ext. 225 or dcarrothers@ccsnn.org

Volunteers play a critical role in the success of the St. Vincents Programs, and are welcome to help stock food supplies and wait on customers in the Food Pantry, or help sort through donations in the Thrift Shop.  For more information, please call the Food Pantry at 775-786-5266 or Thrift Shop at 775-322-9824.  To view or download the Volunteer Application, click here.
